A real fan's favourite. Everybody loved him at the Bridge. Everybody else I spoke to said he didn't do anything and was terrible, which clearly showed that they'd never watched him play. I can understand it I guess, but he played 52 times overall last season (34 out of 38 league games) so I don't see why he wouldn't play this season. Jarosik's gone :) so that evens out Essien's arrival....

Tis a sad day :'(

He wants to be playing for Portugal in the World Cup, I hear. That's like Scott Parker thinking he'll split up Lampard and Gerrard.

What's the Portugual team at the moment, Lipe?

Baia
Paulo/Miguel-Carvalho-Andrade-Costa
Figo-Maniche-Costinha-Christiano
Simao
Pauleta

Last time I checked. But he sometimes drops Simao and plays Nuno Gomes, I know. He should just drop Pauleta.

Anyway, morale of the story is - Tiago isn't good enough defensively to replace Costinha and not good enough all round to replace Maniche.

Edit: Good squad player though.
Edit2: Balls, forgot Deco.

Man Utd.

I'm glad he's gone. Someone from Portugal with a computer screen tan, it didn't look right.

The man looked like Dracula.

Apparently he bade them all a tearful farewell. Bummer.
