I ended up getting a white pair of Sony MDR-EX81 http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=MDREX81LP%2fW&Dept=audio&CategoryName=pa_Headphones_FontopiaEarbud White for £30. I'll let you know if the PSP headphones were worth replacing for that price :)

I think the PSP headphones are ok, but nothing spectacular.

I don't really know anything about headphone quality, but looking around I've seen recommendations for Shure e3cs at a really expensive price down to Sennheiser's at a normal price.

The question is to you iPod owning junkies, are the PSP headphones worth replacing with a £20 pair of Sennheisers?

I can't use in-ear phones - they just don't stay in place. I have no recess at the bottom of my ear. well, I do, but it's not enough to hold them.

Similarly, I have tiny ear lobes - not even enough to have pierced. Not that I would have them pierced anyway, as I'm not a girl.

We don't all live where you do :D.

The little skanks around here doing that sort of thing pick on old women, not 23 year olds who can handle themselves. Sorry state of affairs really.

Anyway, wearing iPod earphones you may as well stick a sign on your back saying, "mug me, please - I've got expensive electronics about my person, and I can't even hear you!"

I have Sony MDR-EX71's. They are by far the best in-ear 'phones I have ever used.

I'd imagine the 81's are just the same but I'd sincerely recommend the EX71's. They even come with 3 sizes of earbud so you're guaranteed to find one that fits.

EDIT - Just noticed that you'd actually gone ahead with the 81's. I'm sure they will be perfect.

Personally, I despise the PSP and iPod ones - they're so uncomfortable. These Sony ones actually fit snugly into the ear - they're amazingly comfortable.

I'd rather have in-ear hpones, nice pair though ;).

So, what's better the ex71s or the ex81s?

I'm sorely tempted by the Enytomic er-6i's, should I wait until I've been paid again and spend the £80 on headphones??

Get the Sennheiser PX-100 pair.

They're the best you can get quality/price. £30 a little steep for cheapos perhaps. But they're immense and super cool.

I've got the older version of the MDR-Q22LP, with spring loaded ear clips.

Superb sound quality and bass.

Oh come on, it's not like when I'm browsing SR I just blank out all other well known sites i shop from too. Linking to a site wont lose you any customers because people shop around anyway, whether they type in the URL in the address box or someone links directly.

I'm so sorry, because I agree with you wholeheartedly and use those headphones myself, but please don't link to our competitors' sites.
