"Interviewing Bands"

I'm writing for an online magazine thats fairly big and I'm lucky enough to have the opportunity to interview the bands The Haunted, God Forbid and Mantiis when they tour in November this year. I'm really keen but I've never done anything like this before, I've never even interviewed non-famous people. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some pointers if you've interviewed people (for any purpose) in the past.

Also if you like/know of the bands and you've got some awesome question ideas then feel free to fire them at me.

Either way none of you really helped me. Goatboy, it's rather irritable of you to insult my music taste after admitting you were a smelly goth. You'd have creamed your tight leather pants at the prospect of interviewing one of the bands you liked, when you were a lesser person (because you're so awesome now, right) so instead of maybe giving advice to someone who perhaps reminds you of a younger you, you mock them. Are you really unhappy about your past and the way you turned out or something man, what the deal with that? Or perhaps by contradicting yourself it makes you some sort of faggy enigma, well the folks on Livejournal may love your self-absorbed vanity but, in the immortal words of Disemboweled Stabwound, "DIE YOU FAGZOR!"

And the problem with internet forums is that somebody will take offence at something, regardless how flippant or off-hand it is.
C'est la vie.
Just as I don't speak for anybody but me, I don't assume that everybody who likes metal is the generic stereotype. But enough of them are, and I've been in that rockworld enough to recognise myself in other people's posts.

I just like the music though. I don't listen to it for any emotional value or because me and the band can "relate", the music just appeals to me.

My appearance is hardly extravagant either. I do have longish hair but that's about as far as it goes. Quite standard clothing and there's not a single piercing or piece of jewellery on my body.

You're angry because you're not getting laid and seek solace in shouty music. But the reason you're not getting laid (apart from chubby goth girls in green Dr Martins) is precisely because you look like that.
