This fantasy guy Terry Goodkind I'm reading is up to 8 books. And it's all actually rather quality, even if he looks like this:

Yeah, The Wheel of Time. It's the most incredibly overlong fantasy series I've ever read, but it's also awesome in terms of having the richest character base I've ever seen in a book. I've read it for too long to give up now, but there's going to have to be a point where he gets bored of having Rand having another mental breakdown and actually do the biznizz.

I've advise carrying on. He's up to Book 10 now, but there hasn't been a new one for 2 years, so I'd imagine a new one is due soon.

The wheel of time? I got to book seven, where nothing happened for 600+ pages, then you can see he visibly though "Best have some action" and has a major battle.
