I would have liked to have seen him have the opportunity to explain his ridiculous point, then it would have seemed more justified that he got a roasting.
Whatever garbage he might have come up with would have been wrong, but it'd still be more pleasing to see him get broken down after he tells the full story.

A) That's what the American public wanted to see.
B) He did take a while to formate any kind of answers and paused after saying "coming back to the pay roll." Whereas the presenters could instantly pick up on what he said.
C) It was hilarious at the ending to see that guy absolutely castigate the n00b over and over. "Go away you freaking idiot. Go back to school like an idiot, idiot." etc.
