...must be the most horrible pain in the world.

I suddenly had a bout yesterday that meant I spent most of the day bent over double.

Now I'm back at work today with the dilema of:-

Option 1: Stay in my seat for as long as possible as that causes me no pain whasoever, BUT then when I do have to get up, absolutely excruciating pain that means I walk like Quasimodo...
or
Option 2: Keep getting up and walking around to keep the pain less, but everyone thinking I'm insane...

The back is a horrible thing when it hurts...

I pulled a muscle in my back when I was 12/13 playing football.

I couldn't play for about 2-3 months after that, it was really sore.

The best thing you can do with a bad back is work out and condition it.

Most people want excellent pecs, etc.. but a strong back helps for later in life.. never too soon to get it strengthened up.

I had some serious back pain when I was just 12. Just starting secondary school, I didn't want to forget anything so I'd cram it all into my bag everyday. Loads of books, PE kit including a pair of trainers and a pair football boots.

It was ridiculously heavy and really screwed up my back and shoulders for a few weeks.

I've had awful back trouble in the last few years, and I'm not even that old. It's all rugby and sitting at a computer. There was a time a couplke of years ago, where I had excruciating pain for weeks on end.

I think tooth ache is the worst kind of throbbing pain.
