Odd choice of transfer target, when they've got Neville for at least a couple more years...

I thought I'd read an interview with him as well, saying Milan was his favoured option the next Cafu. He'd be an excellent signing for Milan and their aging defense, but I can't see him slot in at right back

How can you say that? He hasn't been given a chance to prove himself at a big club.

He would have been an ideal purchase for United. People say Fergie wants a 24 year old Roy Keane - Parker fits that description perfectly.

Nah, I think he's one of those players that play exceptionally well for smaller clubs but struggles to perform for the bigger clubs.

P.S I don't class Newcastle as a big club now that Graham "outsmart me and you're gone" Souness is in charge.

They need a central defender if anything, but above that a midfield general should be a priority. They're fools for missing out on Scott Parker.

And the goal against Arsenal.

I don't mind Wes Brown, when covering for Silvestre, but I fear seeing them together.

As for this Brazilian chap, I said we didn't need Heinze, so I'll stay quiet for now.

Shame Brown is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Should be sold along with that waster Fletcher. O'Shea can stay if only because he megged Figo.

Did you watch him at the Confederations Cup (god bless Five)? He looked absolutely awesome. Truly world class. If Man Utd get him, I wouldn't be surprised to see him first choice in no time.

Hmm, seems to have leaked across several sport sites now so maybe there is something in the story? we'll see.

Interesting, he turned down AC Milan to stay with Sao Paulo http://www.sambafoot.com/en/news/4750_Cicinho_Turns_Down_AC_Milan.html
