I thought I'd read an interview with him as well, saying Milan was his favoured option the next Cafu. He'd be an excellent signing for Milan and their aging defense, but I can't see him slot in at right back

Only a first option, but with Michael Salgado the only average player in their team, he'll be heading to Madrid in no time.
And I wouldn't blame him. Nicer place than Manchester and you don't have to put up with John O'Shea. Sorted.
I can't say I've heard of the guy either, not even on Football Manager 2005. (Heh, he can't be that good then!)
I'd still welcome a new, continental face as a right-back though. Gary Neville can't be expected to play EVERY games this season, now Phil's gone. Brown's a better centre-back and O'Shea's often covering the left side. I reckon he'd be handy for the odd European of League cup match if little else right now.
Michael Ballack would be even better though. :(
Scott Parker's one of my favourite players in the Premiership right now. I was gutted when he sold himself for £10m to Ranieri's Chelski, only to then rot on the treatment table until he finds his way to, um... Newcastle.
Whether you think that much of him or not, he's always been a big game player. Someone who commands the midfield and what goes on around the park. He's not afraid of anyone and he'll fight for EVERY ball until the final blow on the referee's whistle. I was pleased to see Alan Hansen's review of his game last night. :)
I can't say if he's be a success at United, or Liverpool, or not, but he's certainly be willing to give it a go. And I'd have welcomed him with open arms - as I did Alan Smith. :)
Edit: Actually, Riise's a wing-back. But Rafa plays him left-midfield. Or used to, until Zenden got hold of incriminating photos of Rafa and Crouch. So maybe Cicinho could play right-midfield.
Still won't come to 'Pool

I've never even heard of this guy http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.asp?hlid=298341&lid=2&cpid=8&title=United+target+American+ace&channel=football_home
> Shame Brown is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Brown is good covering play to have. Okay, i dont want him playing every week, but he has done more than a fine job when he's called upon. He's kept Henry quiet on more than one occasion.
