...and I feel like an idiot for not seeing these sooner. These have got to be the greatest films ever made, surely?

I'm considering buying the third but I'm afraid it'll turn out crap just like everyone says. I'm even afraid that it'll make me like the originals less.

Is it worth seeing just to watch the last film in the trilogy and see what happens to Mikey or should I just pretend that it never existed?

If I wasn't so hopelessly addicted to spending all of my spare cash on CD's at the moment I would actually go out and buy some films of this sort of calibre. I mean I've got so mucy time on my hands at the moment, but unfortunately not a budget which enables me to make that good a use of it. Oh well, will get around to seeing them some day.

I picked it up on the Second, and from what I saw it was very good, with some very convinving acting and some seat-edge action

Unfortunately I hadn't seen the first so I was constantly cross-referencing in a less-than-quiet way with others in the room, which annoyed them

For a complete and action packed Gangster film, my vote goes to "The Untouchables", perhaps not the most realistic of films but very watchable and quite ... touching

I aim to see Godfather 1 & 3, on my 'To do before I die'

Really?

I thought that although it was much longer than the first it had a faster general pace. If you know what I mean. More action.

???

Granted, I don't think it's as good as the first, but boring? Ah come on. It's pretty long and can feel pretty aimless at times, but it's immaculately filmed, superbly acted and ends on just the right note, a perfect catharsis for Michael Corleone.

The third isn't as bad as some make it out to be, but it's simply nowhere near as good as I&II.

Out of the two I'd say the second film is best. The parts with Bob De Niro as Vito are excellent.

For some reason I've only ever seen the first Godfather film, I enjoyed it a lot but I wouldn't rate it quite as highly as some.

I'll get around to watching the other 2 eventually.

Oh yeah, it's definitely worth seeing, but not a patch on the other two. Why? Hard to say really, there's just something not quite right about it.
