Okay where do I start? I got Frances The Mute way before this and at first didn't see the true extreme genius of it. The first track was brilliant and slowly nurtured me and introduced me into a world of music that I had never heard before. I liked it, loved it infact but Frances The Mute still didn't seem to come off as the timeless genius that so many of you on here thought The Mars Volta were.

Yet still I bought De-Loused and now the Mars Volta are most probably going to be my favourate band of all time. Every track is pure genius (though I havn't heard that UK Bonus track yet) and I am in total love with EVERYTHING. Plus i've now gone back to Frances and it seems much more enjoyable when you've listened to De-Loused yet not as good.

Still The Mars Volta are gods. Gods forever.

You better stay away, matteh.
Lyrics like so:

Open wrist talks back again
In the wounds of its skin

And you'll be off. Gone. Departed from this mental plane.

I know, I should really stop doing this to myself - like Busted. Busted make poor, catchy music. Fact. But I was so determined to not care about them that I started to kinda care about them and started to enjoy dancing insanely to a few of their songs. Then I accepted the fact that I could like them and, a day later, I really didn't care about them.

Damn this 'forbidden fuit' effect my self-banning of bands has on me.

Stop destroying the thread matt. :(

It's starting to be apparent that you led me down the garden path to rape me where-as Cycloon just led me down the garden path.

There are some bands I refuse to try simply because of principal. These are one of them.

I'm glad that I didn't take my breif flirtation with 'televators' any futher than thinking about downloading it now.

Now, for some more random tracks... SABOTAGE!

Personally, I don't know wht I like TMW. For the most part it's pretentious w**k, and I love it.
