Some bloke on trial for murder. It's not disputed that he did it: him and another man kidnapped someone, made him take money from a cash machine, then took him to a field and shot him 8 times. The issue is whether he understood what he did or not. His IQ at the time was 59, which is below the threshold for being "retarded" in America, and therefore he cannot be given the death penalty. But, through his correspondence with lawyers, his IQ has since risen through "stimulation" to 74, which is high enough to be given the death penalty.

Very odd case, but my own opinion is that if he knew to kill the man for taking his money, then he knew it was a crime and shouldn't have participated.
