So, I gather this is yet another comic book adaptation, but the impression I've got from the odd article I've read on AICN is that it's darker than your average Fantastic Four type summer film.
Anyone heard anything about it? With Agent Elrond and Bald Portman in it, I'd expect something a little bit different, but you never know, from the trailer it sort of looks like Smithy in a comedy mask throwing slow-mo Matrix daggers at people, and Portman getting her head shaved in a 'This is a serious film, honest' statement.

All I've seen of Constantine is the making of thing, and I already hate it.

All the original ideas are in comics at the moment. you know, the lack of need for a budget and one / two peoples vision of a good story and all. It's just now that they can actually film them, and do the source material justice. Sometimes it works brilliantly, othertimes not.
Really?

It's 1984, but done by Alan Moore. Looks nice, and faithful to the graphic novel original, but supposedly the screenplay skimps on characterisation. Still, will be watching this one in the hope that it'll be another Sin City / Constantine quality adaptaion, and not another League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen screw up.
Read the graphic novel beforehand if you can. It's quality.
Ahh, Hugo Weaving as "V". Class. Perfect voice, and as long as they don't do a Judge Dredd (you should only get a glimpse of Vs face)
Hurt as the Big Brother style character is nice too.
