Is it possible to learn to sing? With practice and proper teaching techniques?
If you have never been able to sing, decently, will you ever be able to?

Or is it a born ability?

Was fairly common a while ago. Still popular among heavier bands today.

Didnt most guitarists drop a 1/2 step flat in the 80's, easier to do crazy solo's?

1/2 a step flat is my fav. Ebm is just the most lush key there is.

I've got mine tuned down a couple of steps at the moment. I'm having great fun coming up with very simple, heavyish riffs. Plus, it means I can learn a few System Of A Down songs which I've discovered are rather satisfying to play.

I'm talking about loads of delay and wacked out scratching noises.
And pitchshifting.

Dischordancy can work. Just not all the time. Then you just sound like a spastic.

guitar is way more fun if you make unpleasant sounds.

Mexactly. I can do more with a geetar in my hands than I ever could with my voice. Plus there's the added bonus of my actually being able to make pleasant sounds with a guitar.
