Anyone here with them?

What the hell is thier problem with debit cards? I asked for my account to be upgraded so I could have a debit card and they said I havent enough money going in and out of my account for them to give me one. I mean, its MY money that id be spending, it wasnt like I was asking for a credit card or an overdraft or something. If they gave me one, id probably have more money in my account since id be able to sell my stuff on eBay.

Anyone here got a debit card from Nationwide, no hassle?

Yeah I was an existing customer. All I had to do was go in with my birth certificate and whatnot, and the rest was done by then. I had everything, debit card, chequebook and pin number within about 2 weeks.

Not sure about that. Tho my previous account did have over 6grand in it, so they probably figured it wasnt an issue...

I went in, told them I wanted to open a Flex account (which gives me a debit card and a cheque book and internet banking) Since I already had an account it was just a question of asking where I worked and how much I earned, then boom - I had it.

I go on t'internet and transfer money from my savings (where my wages are paid) into my flex account so I can buy stuff over the net.

I'm earning 13 grand a year before tax, though, that might have something to do with it.
