But which is the imposter?
Such a mystery ... even crossbob was stumped!

Ohoho.

Anywho - cheer Rick for choosing my divine piece of slightly overdue literature. And to Nash and Merm for their whole-hearted support.
I ... I ... just don't know what to say.

Except, perhaps, on with the show:

Shade(s)

Is the title for this one.
I don't care how long they are, or how many there are.

All in by around the 3rd of August please, or there abouts.
Gogogogogo.

Okay, well I can't edit the post so I'll just post my judgement here. Oooh, my first opportunity to pick a winner, and there's no doubt that I've had ample material to choose from. And it's not even my competition, well darn me.

Anyways, I'm not sure if there's a structure, or stimuli (love that word, not sure if it's spelt right though) to choosing a winner, so in accordance with the World Athletics Champions (where Team GB are cantering along at their own pace) I shall pick a bronze medallist, a silver medallist and a gold medallist.

The bronze medal goes to...Meka Dragon! Although not one of his piece, a good piece with a surprise ending.

Now the fight for silver and gold was extraordinarily tight. Both begun well, although one really took off halfway through the race whilst one almost fell just too far behind. However toward the end, the latter ran the final straight brilliantly, taking victory by mere hundredths of a second.

So, in 2nd place, the silver medal goes to...Black Glove! A superbly written piece, full of imagination and originality, plus an extremely accomplished use of language.

But, in 1st place, and taking the gold medal...STRYKE!

This piece wins from my personal point of view, because as I've said, I really felt connected with his main character, and felt very emotional toward the end of what is a sad tale.
Stryke's piece really hit me quite hard, especially those final few lines, and that's why he is the winner of SSC 29.

Are you kidding me? Do you know how long the original word document is already? I'll need to upgrade the memory in my computer soon just to keep the original list stored.

Oh alright. If I can find the time when I add SSC29 I will - just for you 'cos I'm a nice person :)

Aye, Ant should deliver a verdict tonight. And I wouldn't worry about FFF, he probably just tried to get the cookiee jar from the top of the fridge and his mum has banned him from the net for a while.

Oh, and sleepy, you charmer, fancy putting the topics of all the SSC's at the top of your wonderful list of stories sticky? I thought it'd be helpful to people setting a new topic. You know, avoid doubling up a topic. G'won, you know you want to :)

Ant's judging - that's good, but FFF disappearance is still a little disturbing.

*Phew*

Glad Ant got back to you first. I learnt from my one and only experience of judging that I'm too tender and didn't wish to offend anyone. Luckily FFF entered a perfect choice for me to pick :D
