They've apparently had a bid for Julio Baptista rejected, exactly the same amount as they got for Vieira.

I'm just glad it was over relatively quickly. If the whole Vieira leaving!!1 story got dragged out over weeks for yet another season I think I may have drifted into a coma.

The problem at Arsenal may be how quickly a new midfield gels, but if they bring someone in quickly, then a few pre-season games together will help enormously.

Possibly the best midfield in the world, nowhere near easily.

Well our talismanic captain finally left...after 9 years of service he leaves. Some will say he's given his best already and I wanted him to leave but now that he has I feel kind of sad...can't imagine him playing in another shirt other than the Arsenal one.... :(

Not necessarily I think we might change our system of having 2 Defensive midfielders, as we have Hleb who actually prefers to play centrally.
