And then I remembered.
What movie has Carradine as a character called Frankenstein? And Sly Stallone as someone called Machine Gun Joe?
And what film has Calamity Jane and Matilda the Hun (hohoho hilarious!)?
That's right.
Deathrace 2000
It's clearly the best movie of all time. Such a gloriously accurate prediction of the future.
It has been a few years since I've seen it, so I think I'm going to get it from somewhere and watch it again. And I suggest you do too. Because really, it has perhaps the greatest acting performances ever.
Every time I'm in the car and I see some old woman dottering across the road, this springs to mind.
Every time.
And I imagine this'll continue to happen for the rest of my life.
That's how monumental an effect this film has had on me, because it's so brilliant.
This thread should be stickied for sure.

You'll be bored for most of the running time. I've got fond memories of it, but that doesn't change the fact it's not very good.

Paul Anderson again. great. I can't wait....
"Plot Outline: A no-holds-barred, ultraviolent car race, set in 2020."
Ummm. Why call it Death race 3000 then?
[edit] Canny coincidence this appeared after I mentioned the origianl movie in the War of the world thread huh?
It makes me laugh so much
I really had to force myself to watch the whole thing though. A remake is definetly in order, with better pacing and more splattering of old people.
