Seen alot of complaints in newspapers about this, perosnally think there is no big deal. If you think about it, giving it a 15 would be idiotic. The problem is the "12A" cert. With the plain old "12" it would've been fine. And even now if a parent takes a young child to see it, it's their responsibility.

Conclusion - like a lot of things it's a pile of fuss over nothing.

Mweh, I've been brought up on matrial arts movies, and my father got me out Death Race 2000 from the video shop when I must have been 11 - 12 years old. It was an X then. I also watched Alien at a very young age. I remember thinking "this is excellent"

They're just movies. Make believe. Pretend. As I was taught by my father.

It's quite an audacious thing to do really. The parents have no right to winge if it gave their kid nightmare's as the film is a 12A.

If they care so much about what their children should and should not see then the parent should have seen it without their kids before deciding whether or not it is suitable.

If the child is scarred for life, the parent has only themself to blame.

I remember my first 12 movie, it was Independance Day. I was 11.

My first 15 was South Park, I can't remember how old I was then, but I still looked 11 and had to be snuck into the cinema.

Haven't seen an 18.
