Seen alot of complaints in newspapers about this, perosnally think there is no big deal. If you think about it, giving it a 15 would be idiotic. The problem is the "12A" cert. With the plain old "12" it would've been fine. And even now if a parent takes a young child to see it, it's their responsibility.

Conclusion - like a lot of things it's a pile of fuss over nothing.

12A ratings are a joke. It means you'll go to see a film such as Batman Begins and have whiney brats in there who know nothing of the greatness of Batman just screaming and generally being a pain in the posterior.

Oh, and some of the ratings seem a bit lenient. Terminator 3 got a 12A, when it had several counts of the "F word", not to mention someone getting a hand punched through their stomach in rather grisly detail.

And it's also opened the floodgates for film producers to cut stuff out of films to get it to pass at a 12A rating, which sucks. These idiotic producers who insist that story be sacrified for cash should be lined up and shot by the dozen.

An 18a? Eighteen year olds can only watch it with their parents consent?

My first 12 movie was Batman.

But they hadn't moved the rating over to video by that point so the video became a 15.

Freeola & GetDotted are rated 5 Stars
