I've never once bought a pre-paid card and I've downloaded games from the Wii Shop channel...

You need to purchase pre-paid cards.

No, it's a channel where surveys are posted on a regular basis and you can answer them. Each person with a Mii can register to vote and you can view results for your family/friends/country etc.

Quite unusual, a bit like the myspace bulletin area, really.
