Surely killing someone for their crime, makes you just as bad the person who killed in the first place? The death penalty is wrong and should never be allowed in a modern, civilised society. Who are we to choose who should live or die?

Your "string him up by his balls and cut off his head" comment would make this country just as bad as the arab nations that cut peoples hands off because they stole a loaf of bread.

I don't see how it would make us "citisens" any more "secure" or "safer".

I'm interested as to the kind of regulations and formalities that you would like to see to get your signature on the petition for it.

I'm afraid there is absolutely NO way to guarantee this.

I don't see how the death penalty is going to help the following possibilities:

1) Suicide bombers.
2) Illegal immigrants
3) Terrorist attacks where the perpetrators are extremely unlikely to be caught.

It would be the decision, and on the hands of, the British government.

There's plenty of rights in Britain protecting people who aren't British, lets have more for those who actually are!

Anyway, it's been a long day. I've got football, so i'll catch you later, lads.

Bye.

Death penalty, but by more natural means.

Send them to prison and feed them MacDonald's 3 times a day. If that programme was anything to go by they'll be dead before too long without really being poisoned.

It won't be handed out to 'odd innocents'. It'll be handed out to people who admit their crime or have evidence heavily stacked against them. It's something that will, rarther ironically, need a lot of care and dedication to get right. Without it, our country will be viewed as a hotbed for 'do-what-you-want'-ness... excuse the word.

I'm not in a position to enforce it; but, should it be proposed with certain regulations and formalities, then I would probably back it. Just as I would back anything that made our country more secure and safer for all British citisens - as long as it didn't compromise certain rights and freedom of said British citisens.

The death penalty for murderers is inherently flawed anyway.
The criminal kills someone, so they deserve to die. They are then killed.
What of the person who carried out the execution? Is it 'okay' for them to kill someone? The person might have been a murderer, but this now means you have to bend your whole death penalty principal - it's okay for some people to kill but not others.
