Pirates, do they say "oooh-arrrr, me hearties" or "arrrr, me hearties"?

This is causing friction in the EB household.

I believe that the adition of the "oooh" makes the pirate, in fact, a farmer. Am I correct, or am I crazy?

Yeah, mine was from Monkey Island 2 - don't know about Chip's, though.

We don’t like the label 'pirates' anymore we prefer the term 'Morally Challenged Sea Dwelling People'.

Ooooarrr is infact the stereotypical sound of farmers and NOT pirates.
