Stupid.
So like, we're meant to read an info pack and write about it...
Lammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Mass debating is better.
My head of 6th Form, who was our teacher, accused me of inter-racial homosexual relations with the Asian member of our class. And I called him an Ipswich fan, which he is. Ha ha.
Also had quite a few debates on religion, politics etc. I didn't exactly need to go, but a lot of the time it was more interesting than sitting in the school lounge doing jack all.
What a waste of time.
Personally, I'm finding it very useful. I need 3 Bs to get into Essex and after my awful AS Levels that's looking unlikely...however they DO accept General Studies, and since I'm hoping for at the very least a B, it's something nice to fall back on.
If I'm honest though, I didn't need to go to a single one of the 40 to 50 or so lessons I've had on it. It's all common sense and a bit of general knowledge.
I said "no"
End of.
Nice to see a school recognise it counts for nothing.
I > you
Which makes people think you're quite smart until inevitably "Inluding General Studies?" is asked.
