Dumb 14yr slattern sues council for £50,000 because she became pregnant whilst at a special needs boarding school.
Apparently the school was "unable to adequately supervise" her behaviour and placing her next to a 16yr old boy's room.
Right, so because you decided to hump some sovereign ring bejewelled chimpanzee and got pregnant, it's the council's fault right?

Obviously we're not able to obtain all the facts. This could be a big screw-up (heh) by the council. I don't know exactly how much it costs to bring up a child but 50k stretched over 18 years seems a reasonable (if not cheap) figure for the council to me, if indeed the council are found to be at fault.

Normally I think you're being a little harsh but I'm with you on this one.

Although bearing in mind that she was young, naive and "special needs", perhaps putting her next door to a horny 16 year old lad (who probably had "special needs" of his own) perhaps wasn't the best of ideas, and maybe something the school needs to think about (although how sheltered do you need to make these kids?).
