Ok, finally the finances have been confirmed so looking to build a new tower in the next couple of weeks (Unless CrossFire & R520 arrives in the next 4 weeks!)

Here's what I have so far:

I'm going to start buying parts for my uber-pc soon, probably. Can't believe that the most expensive thing is going to be the graphics card! I'm setting myself slightly lower budgets than Tyla, so I'd be interested to see how his machine turns out.

On hard-drives - I must recommend Seagate Baracuda 7200.8s . Very fast indeed, no trouble at all...

Plus got great reviews all over.

Choose different hard drives. They're the 120GB version of mine (I have 2x 160GB drives) and they've caused me no end of hassle. Go for Maxtor or Western Digital instead.

Anyway, apparently the 7800 and R520 are VERY close, so you might want to hold on (although don't forget you'll be able to hook up that X850 to a crossfire enabled card for the same effects)
