This has been bothering me for sometime now, but which is the best game EVER made??

I think Half-Life 2 on PC

Im stating that I have only played the Monkey Island series.

The beginning was excellent. THe feeling of freedom and just the atmosphere of tranquility was amazing. Then you got stuck in caves for most of the rest of it, and it was tough as nails, thanks in part to the rubbish controls. If it had all been in the open water it would have been amazing.

i did, and underrated it certainly was not.

I had it on Xbox, and it all squeezed onto one disc, but Hong Kong was amazing - and to be honest the game was not linear at all really; the arcade was most certainly one of the highlights.

Kowloon was the most exciting, with Ren and gang. Absolutely the best bit was where you handcuffed to Ren, and that big bloke chases after you. Amazing.

The ending sucked a bit though, there was no real final boss battle (well you had to fight the big bloke on the helipad) but it was just cut scenes throughout.
