Hahahaha, I love these pirates.

It's been what, 4 -5 days since the announcement?

I don't think Apple actually intend for OSX to run on anything but their own hardware, but when there's is a will, there's is a way.

To be honest, in my opinion, this is probably the worst decision they have ever made.

I wouldn't be surprised to see full cracked versions to be on the Internet soon after the whole thing takes to light.

Dual boot anyone?

Took the words right out of my mouth.

"there is nothing at all that prevents the version of Mac OS X that runs on the developer transition machines from running on any PC with compatible components"

What are the compatible components?
I'm guessing you'll need an intel-based system to run it?

Hope not. :(

I doubt it.

x86 chips are x86, regardless of their manufacturer.

Intel and AMD both make x86 CPU's.

Even if Apple do make their OS "Intel specific", it's pretty much certain there will be ways around it.

Apple have been compiling x86 versions of OS X for the last five years for in-house use - someone on the inside obviously got offered some pieces of eight.

Excellent.

PC meets Mac...

/cry

It's just so beautiful.

Cheap yet powerful gaming machine on one side, beautiful design rig on the other.

I think it would be an excellent decision by Apple just to let OSX run all over the place.

It'd be a nice thought.

But the problem lies with the fact that if OSX was available for normal PCs, why bother getting Mac hardware?

And part of OS X's reliability is probably down to restricting the hardware you can run it on.
