Who do you think will win the next generation console wars?

I'm putting my money on the GameCube from Nintendo. Many would call me a fool, and don't think that I haven't read your hurtful posts about me, but ignoring that, from the evidence I have ben able to gather, the Gamecube will reign supreme.

The Xbox will have a lot of money behind it, but really it doesn't offer much to the casual gamer. The titles are uninspiring at best, and downright pathetic at worst. No doubt Bill Gates will try to brainwash people into buying it with an ingenius marketing campaign, but he won't pull the wool over these eyes.

Next I move on to the Playstation 2. Yes that 'difficult' second console (or is that only albums?) Sony have done really well to but together such an impressive machine so soon before either Nintendo or Microsoft could, but could this also be their downfall? Sega have suffered in the past by launching its consoles too early, could the same happen here?

I think not, as they have already built a large user base, and they have a large number of third party companies working on ever increasingly impressive titles. I think that the PS2 will stick around for the near future, but Nintendo will be the one for me.

Why do I choose Nintendo? To me it's all about the games, and the games I like are on the Gamecube. Not only this, these games are exclusives, and are never likely to appear on another console. (Though we were saying that about Sonic once.) Games like Luigi's Mansion appeal to me. It looks original, and special. Then there's Animal Forest. A communication game. Again, original, and special. Then there's Metroid, Zelda and Mario to come. There's a host of more adult oriented titles for those that are soo inclined too. Nintendo are saying that they have the 'difference'. They promise innovation, and from what I've seen, they got it!

Add to this the GBA, a trojan horse if you will. What I mean by that is that thousands will buy the GBA. If the links between the GBA and the Gamecube are sold to the GBA owners, you get Gamecube owners. The link is also something that no other company has going for it. Again it's originality and innovation.

So it's the Gamecube for me all the way. You choose what you want, but I know what I'd advise.

Thanks for reading, and please don't just say how crap my spelling is or it's a crap post, it took me ages.

Would you like a cheese sandwich mother?

That was number 2. I think they made something like four of them. Guess which one was the best? :0)

Mind you, there was a bit in... err... number four I think, that made me laugh. He was having flashbacks about his childhood, and Norm and his mum were at a funeral. His mum started to tickle him, and Norm laughed.

She says "You shouldn't laugh at funerals. Naughty boy.", and then slaps him.

And starts to tickle him again.

It's a shame, because I expect it was supposed to be quite disturbing.

Guess again. :0)

This post was not by me. The only time I was Cheatguru was when he changed his name, and I stole it from him. I later... err... gave the name away.

Shuddup Guru.

I'm onto you, can't fool me again.

(anyhoo, why on earth would I read a post and presume it's from someone else? Except for this one)

Foolish and naive me.

Ok, from now on I presume Grix has the humour level of Jim Varney and every post that isn't me is him.

Except for the ones that say it's from Grix.

because that would be too obvious.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Many thanks!!
