Yesterday, I managed to get hit by one of my own turtle shells that I'd fired.

But wait. It's not one of those green ones that rebound off stuff, cos everyone gets hit by their own one of those. I managed to get hit by one of the homing ones I fired lol, I seemed to overtake it by cutting a corner on DK Jungle and it hit me lol.

I remember on Rainbow Road I launched a red shell that went forward for a bit, then came back and hit me. I didn't even have to overtake it.

Or you could slide in front of a weapon obstacle like a giant bannana, or you could easily enough just plant some item behind you before it hits, but never try that with boxes as they don't get destroy until you hit them yourself.

Its also quite possible to Dodge the Blue ones. Especially on twisting walled tracks like DK Mountain, or whatever it is...

That's true... do you use the power slide tactic... or are there variations on how to avoid a red shell?
