Dringo was annoyed at Grix for a comment about Dringo`s Honda topic, but Grix was clearly only joking about the notable part, as he often does. He finds it as funny as we do. Grix, meka and Fantasy Meister all act as they should do. They never abuse their notable colours, and they only ever joke when status is mentioned. They handle it well.
As for the "Don`t vote for me" rubbish. I`ve seen this from two people now, and it basically translates to:
"I`ve realised I won`t win, so I`m pretending to be above it all".
Well done to Edgy for getting there quickly. Its obvious er-no will be the next notable. Its runner-up to Dringo though...
Anyway, perhaps the elections should be seperated by a larger amount of time. Maybe 6 months or so.
Well, thats all.
Just cause I don't see any big thing in being one doesn't mean its like some excuse cause i'm not gonna be voted as one. Like i said, i really don't care and i don't. Its not as though I have some posting limit as a regular so whats so bad about my name being purple rather than gold ? Don't get me wrong, gold is a nice colour and stuff but its not something i lose sleep over cause i want it so much.
I'll take a gameaday win over being elected as a notable anyday ! At the end of the day, this forum is a place for people like everyone here to discuss games and even just have a chat in general and its nice. People seem to think theres some sort of level of power or something now. To me, the ones who command the respect around here are the staff who can kick you off at the drop of a hat and the people who know their games, wether their Newbies, Regulars or Notables. So far the Notables that are around do know their games and are a good laugh at the same time.
At first the thing that drew me to this site was obviously the chance to win a game. That was probably the case for at least most of the people on here. But over time thats been less of a factor and i've just enjoyed reading and writing posts on here. I might not have a huge post count like a lot of people, but look at my word count and its a lot more than quite a few above me so i think i do a fair contribution on here. As far as i care, Tony or Ali could make me a Newbie and it really wouldn't bother me. Most people on here know who i am even if i don't chat as much as a lot of others. I don't need a colour to assure me i'm being noticed. I'm noted as a Regular and thats what i think of myself as. I come here pretty regularly and read and write posts, hence = Regular.
Like i said, knowone needs a gold name to be noticed by me. If John Smith = Just Arrived Today, talks about games and puts accross good points or just enjoys talking about games he's looking forward to, then that to me is a fellow poster and should be treated like any other.
Sorry this is long but i'm not gonna be talked about as some stupid kid stamping his feet cause his name isn't in lights. Fair enough with people like The Game having a laugh with all the politician style stuff, to me thats quite funny. If not for things like that, what would be the point in having this status thing ? Like someone said before, you don't exactly get any new duties. You don't suddenly run the site. If my name suddenly came up in gold, i wouldn't wake up feeling any different tomorrow than i did today. I'm a games player, i play games most hours of the day and also like to talk about them with other people. Isn't that what this forum is all about ? Or have i missed something ?
Oh ohm's Law is it?
Well you can shove that LED up yer ar...nose!
I am away to play sensible soccer :D
> damn this Notable business.....does it really matter??
It is fun and gives people responsibilitie!
...back to revision...
:) wish me luck!
