RUBBISH. They aren't good for the environment either. Cork is. And if I really wanted to go on I could say the chemicals in the plastic increase chances of getting cancer. Or turning you into a woman.

This isn't about class, this is about annoying rubber corks that break corkscrews so you spend 45 minutes trying to get the damn thing out of the bottle.

Personally I cant really taste the difference between decent stuff & cheap plonk. But then again I am not that much of a wine man. Dont mind the odd glass of red though!

While cork has been used for bottling wine for many years, screw caps are supposed to create a better flavour and don't contaminate the wine.
It's only the stuffy crowd that frown upon them...
