Er ... yes, yes it is.
Although anyone can write a list.

Watch me go now:

Socks,
Chimney,
Marble horse head,
Assorted religious texts,
Frosted window panes,
Dusty roller blinds,
Dead spider.

Awesome.

In other news:

Killer 7 is ... er ... oh yes, of course, delayed some more.
Good work, fellas.

A Famitsu survey says that more people in Japan are interested in the Revolution than the other 2 new consoles. Going Rev - PS3 - XB360 with XB way behind.

Ninty are exhibiting at PAX 2005 (no, I've never heard of it either) - which takes place in August. Possibly Rev stuff. But then again, possibly not. Those crazy guys!

GBA Micro may well end up costing more than the SP does. Every single person on the planet fails to care.

Shigsy is found peddling a pink plastic tricycle around Ninty HQ in his pyjamas, eating coffee grounds straight from the jar. He demanded the gathered walls make 5 games covering all genre bases with no focus on graphics, last about 3 mintues from start to finish and be aimed at religious extremists who meet up every fortnight to smash and burn games and consoles, proclaiming them the work of the devil and all his impish servants.

"A lot of the games out there are just too long."

Also what you're showing me isn't a "full" interview either. It's just a report on an interview. You don't know that he didn't say they "demand too much time from the user". SR got that from somewhere and they put it in quotes, suggesting it's a quote.

What he actually said, eh?
Funny, seeing as I took the quote from the actual interview and not SR's crappy interpretation of it.

He never once said that it "demands too much time from the user".

but he's not talking about "some gamers", he's talking about "the user", genralising that we all don't want these big games. What he actually said was that some games demand too much time from the user. Which doesn't make any sense. If he's saying that it takes too long to get any rewards then why's he talking about GTA3 and Halo? In fact almost every game out there - the opening level/s are the most enjoyable bits! So you get your reward straight away. That's why it doesn't make any sense.

All he's saying is that big games might not appeal to people who don't have time to play them.

That's all.

He never said that big games should be stopped or that short games are better, merely that big games don't appeal to people who cba spending that much tiem on them.

For example, Dringo and SoA:L, he won't play it because it's too big.

I don't know. It doesn't make any sense to me. If a game is good enough then people will ENJOY taking a long time to complete it.

Yeah.

Where did this whole "game HAS to be completed" thing come from anyway?
Make a game easier to complete so more people can do so?
Sounds a bit... :-S

but there's nothing wrong with games being BIG or EXPANSIVE. In fact those are 2 positive atrtibutes of Halo and GTA. I don't really see how you can have a problem with a game world being large. It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

So instead of big and expensive games, Nintendo want to release small and expensive games...

Why don't they just admit that they just can't be arsed to put their all into a game anymore.

"44. Nintendo World Cup"

If we get that.
I don't care what the rest of the console is like.

Best console eva.

Oh, and you're all twisting Shigsy's words again, he said "A lot of the games out there are just too long. Of course, there are games, such as Halo or Grand Theft Auto, that are big and expansive. But if you're not interested in spending that time with them, you're not going to play."

That sounds to me more like he's saying "Yeah, big games are OK, but too many of them overwhelm you, so we plan to make some smaller games that you can pick up and play in short bursts."

You know, like Pikmin?

But I hated Pikmin, so w/e
