No, just because the message has appeared, you don't know he *will* die, you expect him to pull through because *spoilers* the regeneration was slated for being in the Xmas episode, not that one.

I wasn't expecting that thing to happen this episode, no way. Though as you say the episode's title hints at the ending to the series.

Which means all the hoo-har about him "quitting after one series" ... well that seems to have always, always been the plan.
Oh and the Emporer Dalek is just.. an important Dalek. No Adam involved.
