What are people's views on this? I can't quite decide whether it's a good idea or not.

Coursework provides people who tend to panic in exams the chance of getting a decent grade, but is that necessarily a good thing? With all of education being finally assesed by exams is giving people a way out a good idea?

Sooooo... anyone?

Coursework is fine - an easy way to get 30% or whatever it is of the marks.

And they give you a stupidly long time to do it all. You always leave it to the last minute, but it's still easier than any exam.

But then, exams never bothered me either. So, I wouldn't really care either way.

Fair point. So in that case why waste time doing it?

If its true that everyone can get full marks in coursework, then the grade you get in your exams is still the decider. So either way it's irrelevant.

Used to hate it, for someone who is quite minimalist i always struggled to stretch what i had written to the lengths of other people and it didn't help one bit that my writing is reasonably small and i can't write very quickly due to a busted wrist.

And I'm telling you, I was god-awful at English and got a crappy grade.
If it had been about work in class, I'd have failed, or got a C ifI was extremely lucky.
