Here's the next challenge:

Out for Dinner

I'll allow two "entree"s per person. Laughing at my amazing pun will enhance you chance of victory

I'm not going to give you long, only until the 10th June, and I'll judge over the weekend of the 11th & 12th.

Special rule for Crossbob - (anyone else can adhere to this if they wish) - one of your characters must be called Mike.

Many very good stories - and possibly the most I've ever had to read for a SSC.

I thought it was a well delivered story, and I really felt for the main character as he returned to the place time and again from where so many happy times he had spend with his wife.

You are allowed to write stories that aren't part of an SSC, crossbob. Knock yourself out, write 4876 stories if you like.

Ugh, mine kinda sucks. Kinda different to what I normally might do. It more to just do something before it ended than actually having a really good idea.

Are/were you Highly Excitable?
