A new month and a good time for a new game, i've joined up but not looked at how the game works yet but i presume it's the same way as Celebdaq, you buy shares and they're value depends on how much they feature in the papers, i'll set up an SR league depending on how many people want to play.

It doesn't matter how much the players care, it's who's better at tennis that decides the result. If it weren't, they'd just interview them to find out who cared more.

Not what i said, Davenport deserved to win because she was the better player, i just happen not to like the Williams sisters.

I dont pretend to be neutral but i'll always dispute either Williams sister deserving to win anything, they've made it quite clear in the past that they've got other things they'd prefer to do and aren't really as devoted as the other professionals. Frankly it takes the p**s when they just decide to turn up once in a while, at least Hingis had the decency to quit when she'd had enough.
Yes a good match but i think it would have been different but for that decision and Davenports injury.

Davenport "deserved to win" because you don't like Venus Williams.

Someone who is completely neutral however appreciates what was actually a very good match with a deserving eventual winner.

Yeah I saw some of that yesterday. It was amazing.

Apparently, as 14th seed, Venus is the lowest seeded player ever to win the women's singles title. I'm amazed that no real outsiders have ever won it. Also, the prize money's better than I'd have thought, the winner gets £600,000, which is only £30,000 less than the men's champ. Oh, and did anybody else know that there's a wheelchair event at Wimbledon? You only get £1300 for winning though.

Aha, fantastic match, wish I'd had a ticket for Centre Court today, both games were amazing.

I bet when venus looks back she'll be a little bit annoyed at how close she was to winning the championship without losing set. Had she not played so awfully in the first set then she would have done it.

See, it wouldn't have been this exciting had Davenport won the first two sets.

I'm not going to complain, it's more interesting this way.

She should have lost in straight sets, that disgraceful call at 4-4 wrecked Davenports concentration, it must have been a foot wide.
