I've tried so hard over the last few years to remain loyal to Nintendo, but I think that'll have to stop here.

I can hardly believe that Nintendo can be this stupid. Surely they're well aware that they're already getting slaughtered by Sony and Microsoft, so what have they done about it?

"Erm...I know what'll get us back on top of the market, we'll give our main rivals a huge headstart. That'll show 'em".

Idiots.

If this is true, I'm gonna get a Xbox 360 and then get a Rev when it comes out :)

The only reason to delay a launch would be so your machine can be that much more powerful than the competition.
But Ninty obviously aren't going after that.

So ... why?
If the controller is supposedly 'finished' as someone said?

I suppose they could be waiting for people to make some games for them - which is sensible seeing as they haven't even sent the bloody dev. kits out yet.

That's fine for me if I end up wanting Revolution, I don't want to buy two new consoles in the same year.

I don't really think this is a mistake.

Sony and Microsoft need to get their consoles out as quickly as possible because they're targeting exactly the same market and want those one or two months of raking in cash from their console which will be exclusively the most powerful on the market. Word is they won't even have any decent launch titles.

Given that Nintendo have repeatedly stated that they are targeting a completely different market, and are moving away from this whole "style over substance" philosophy that is controlling games today, they can take as long as they want in a business sense.

After all, they are perfectionists, they are actually bothered about the quality of what they sell. And rightly so - they like to please their fans.

And this from the Nintendo that 'supposedly' listens to its fans and reckons it has learnt from its mistakes!

Nintendo wouldn't know its mistakes if they turned round and slapped them in the face!

Just another reason to be laughed at by Sony and XBox fanboys! Hardly anyone gives a fig about Nintendo anymore anyway. As far as shops and the public are concerned the Gamecube doesn't even exist!

"In the past we tried to entice new users with increasingly sophisticated graphics, improved sound and complex storytelling. But, to a big extent, I think we've pursued that as much as we can.
