Anyone who got the latest NGC may have looked at this already. Some guy completed Mario 64 from start to finish with just 16 stars in 20 minutes.

Yes, it is possible. Watch it when you have 20 minutes to spare.

Yeah Realplayer has access to all the codecs, tis quite good in that respect but the rest of the program is a pile of ass.

I'm tempted to get a DS and Mario 64 just to try that speed run, if not just for the door trick. Not the rabbit one, just the infinate back slide thingy.

VLC player > Media Player Classic

VLC comes with every (read as: most) codecs installed. MPC needs every codec to be installed.

When Media Player didn't work, I tried Realplayer, which usually disappoints. It said I needed the plug-in and linked me to it. Now Media Player works as well.
