Anyone who got the latest NGC may have looked at this already. Some guy completed Mario 64 from start to finish with just 16 stars in 20 minutes.

It's annoying when you lose your hat. Although I don't see how losing a hat makes you take more damage.

What I heard was if you re-enter the same level the hat should be laying about roughly were it blew off.
It happened in the sand level first, the bird took it. I died, re-entered the level and it was in the far corner.
No sign of it in the other level though. and Toad was no good. It had actually vanished from the castle for good.
Stupid hat theives.

You can just ask the Toad in the main hall and he'll give it back to you
