Why is it that it seems to be less offensive to tell a bloke they are fat than a woman?

Being a fat implies manly things as drinking beer and eating raw meat for breakfast.

Where as a woman it implies you are lazy scum and should be shunned from society.

i guess it's because people don't these days go around saying things like 'you look dashing in your new suit' compliments aren’t often paid to men, where as women always have people talking about the way they look.

Things like a new hair style is a 3 hour conversation fro some women, where as a bloke would say 'Cool hair' or 'What the fecks that on your head?'.

But a lot of men (not all) care more how they look to themselves than how others perceive them.

Because 99% of women are insecure, doubt riddled wraiths.
And the other 1% are fat but don't care, hence "bubbly"

I think they find it offensive, my brother definately does as he's fat.

I just think it's less likely to be said to them, as fat = well built in a guy = sore face when they hook you.

Because blokes, as a rule, aren't quite as sensitive.

You don't even have to tell a woman that she's fat to have her think that you're implying that she's fat by making a completely innocent comment.

"Is that a new top?"

"Why, do I look fat in it?"
