Where as a woman it implies you are lazy scum and should be shunned from society.
Things like a new hair style is a 3 hour conversation fro some women, where as a bloke would say 'Cool hair' or 'What the fecks that on your head?'.
But a lot of men (not all) care more how they look to themselves than how others perceive them.
And the other 1% are fat but don't care, hence "bubbly"
I just think it's less likely to be said to them, as fat = well built in a guy = sore face when they hook you.
You don't even have to tell a woman that she's fat to have her think that you're implying that she's fat by making a completely innocent comment.
"Is that a new top?"
"Why, do I look fat in it?"
