AC Milan today sacked Ancelotti, and immediately replaced him with David Blunkett.

He may not know anything about football, but he knows how to hold on to a lead.

The bottom half of the table finished up so amazingly close. Weird to think that Roma (now in 8th place) only secured safety last week!

Reckon Roma have a good chance in the cup final depending upon which inter turn up!

Bah.

I'd rather have Parma stay up, but it wouldn't be good if Bologna were relegated either. They've been around mid-table pretty much all season, and then were drawn into the relegation equation for the first time today. A bit harsh on them. But Parma shouldn't go down either.

Fiorentina survive by virtue of having a better head-to-head record against Parma and Bologna, and relegated Brescia as they triumphed 3-0 at home.

Siena are disgustingly bad.

They'll go down next season, but not soon enough in my opinion

Why have Fiorentina stayed up when they are below Bologna in the table?

Should it not be them playing Parma in the playoff?

Anyway, I'm really annoyed Siena won. I'd have rathered they went down than any of Fiorentina, Parma or Bologna, as I classify those three as proper Serie A teams. Siena aren't. :-(

Can't believe Fiorentina stayed up

For the play-off, I'd rather have Parma stay up, but if they do go down then more's the chance Gilardino will go to Milan, so I'd be happy either way.

Serginho scored again. He really should have started against Liverpool... I think that would have made the difference.
