Me too, but I don't think it's to do with getting old, more to do with understanding stupid abbreviated English.
I really can't understand why people do it? yes on a text message you have limited space so it's acceptable, but posting with it on here or writing it in an e-mail etc is just pure lazyness.

I can't understand why people find it quicker to type in "txt" language. It takes longer for me to do it than it does if I write the words out properly. It means that I actually have to put some thought in to make the alterations so it takes slightly longer.
Plus it makes you look like a moron.
