It's just like any music really, everyone has their own opinion on things

Oh ok then. "Electronica" But that sounds so damn pansy. monged out ravers is happy house, techno, hard house etc etc. Cant stand that type of trash. "Dance" is a pretty inoffensive term IMHO.

You into Jeff Mills? Recommended. Nasty, dark music.

I'd advise against listening to "Iron Monkey" in that case.

I think I'm more than qualified to talk about what is proper music. Even though my personal taste is for more electronic-orientated music, I can appreicate rock (living with Lucy I have no choice), so I'll quite happily listen to The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Green Day, heck I even enjoy some Pearl Jam... but SOAD make me want to rip my own ears off and flush them down the bog...

Liking that sort of stuff isn't right or wrong, but surely, surely you can't talk about what's "proper music" with that sort of a line-up?

Not necessarily, I'm a huge dance music fan. Not so much the hip-hop anymore. I still love my metal / industrial though.

Liking one style doesn't automatically prevent you from liking something from the other end of the spectrum IMHO.

Lemme see. Current Cd's in the car are: -

1) Underworld - Dubnobaddwithmyheadman
2) Nin - With Teeth
3) Lemon Jelly - 64 to 95
4) therapy - troublegum (I found it after I thought I'd lost it ok?!)
