Kojima said MGS2 would be his last, even if the series continued. He lied.

I think he meant last in the 'Solid' series of Metal Gear games. There'll probably be more Metal Gears in the future, i doubt Konami will let one of their best selling series just stop.

But like Blank said Kojima said he'd finish at 2, he didn't so why believe it this time

Onimisha is the best selling capcom game of this generation, and yet onimusha 3 was the last one. I don't really think that Hideo Kojima makes metal gear games for the money, or at least there is a better reason.

I know it will be the last and by the look of things, the best.

I certainly hope it's the last - when a good series goes on for a long time, the quality often falls.

Well I hope something can replace it...

I still think that the games are, or would still be improving if they were still continuing.

Ithink its good it comming to an end, as they dont want it to go on forever and fizzel out. People will remember it being great. Also they will run out of stories, and if they made more they would be grabbing at straws which will not work to well as at it will be a shadow of it former glory.

Its the right time to end it I think. But I agree it will be hard to replace it with something.

It will have to turn into "settle beer liquid" heh, by the people who made shaun of the dead, going to make games heh.
