My friend told me that I should finish off what I want to do in Los Santos before doing the last mission there (on now) because after you're finished there it turns into a craphole.

Yeah, when you finished the last mission you get dumped in the middle of nowhere (country side) and when you go back to Los Santos it's owned by the Yellow gang and the Ballas so everywhere you go you get gunned down by them. It also means no fun drive-bys too...
