I consider myself one of the last real games players in this world, due to the fact that I do not cheat at games, do not argue about which console is better, and more importantly, I do not buy pirated games.
Fact: It doesn't just go to help breaking your machine, it also goes towards breaking the law.
All the people I know, except for a couple of good exceptions who are parents, buy pirated games. I know it's a cheaper way of getting software, but in the long run it's going to destroy the industry, I love more than anything. It has to stop, and any piraters reading this, has to stop. What's a few quid selling these games, when you could do and probably feel better by just buying the proper games.
My second fact is, if you people want to buy cheaper games, just wait until they come down in price. It'll help the games companies, and hopefully give you a clearer concience when the industry ends, all because of you.
I hope this sinks in to a few people, because seriously, I hate this kind of thing and so should you. Try to prevent these games getting out, instead of buying them.

Indeed, not ALL games run faster (in fact almost no import games run faster if you have a UK DC!), however, most games on every other console ever made do. In addition, the black borders at the top and bottom of thr screen disapear. As for needing a Scart lead: they only cost £10... give MUCH better picture quality than a normal AV lead thing, and almost all modern TVs support them!
Just to explain to people who are not aware why this is all the case goto my prime topic on the real facts of importing.

Nurse, the screams!
Fact: Buying pirated games is illegal
Fact: They break your consoles
Fact: You could face hefty charges, including £2000+ fines and jail sentences.
Fact: You will have a criminal record.
Fact: It is unlikely you will get a visa, so no living it up in California, or popping to LA for E3.
All because you want to be Solid Snake before your mates???
> Why didn't you get it from Special Reserve?
Actually not many people realise the advantages of importing:
Games come out sooner
Game run faster (unless u have a Dreamcast :)
You can play games that for one reason or another never come out here
Importing is more expensive, but if you want the newest games first then it's definately for you. And remember, chiped consoles (by chipped I mean consoles that play imports- not that play copies), can play UK games too!
Sonic
only to find out it was a pirate copy . It wouldnt of been so bad if i had paid a fiver for it but i didnt i paid £30. Hopefully i should get some compensation for it when my parents go to court on 24th of June. If i dont Get anything I might just ring up nintendo to tell them what happenned. Oh what the hell i will anyway.
