Last night, we were at the bar and noticed the new girl was serving. Now don't get too excited lads, shes 7ft tall and has an arched back. She comes over and sheepishly prompts us that she is ready to serve. I request my order and wait for it to register in her head.
Picking up the pint glass, she looks around for the pump (which was right next to where we was standing....) but she fails to see it and walks over to the other side of the bar.
On her return, my pint was topped with froth which had taken up quite a considerable amount of the drink. Obviously she hasn't been teached how to pour drinks properly. Most people would be annoyed at this point, but I perservered and gave her £2.50, expecting to receive 34p change.
She handed over £2.84.
Obviously in her travels she had forgotton to put the tender in the till and gave me back the money I'd just given her. Leaving me to have a free drink on the pub.
How great it is to be served by a first-timer.
Anyone had any similar experiences with having to deal with people who don't have a clue at work? I know its not their fault, but its still great.
In the end I just asked for a Jack and Coke, I could see the delight on his face... then he ran away into the back.

People in glass houses...
*Gets out of glass house*
Anyway, yeah I had a good one. A special edition of 2000AD should have cost 5/6 quid but they put the standard barcode on (knowing 2000AD have some pretty radical people it was probably done deliberately) meaning it only came up as being priced the usual £1.30.
I don't like WHSmith anyway.

I gave a trainee a tenner for booze at the local supermarket. She gave me change of a twenty. I was up 10 quid (+ my 7 quid change for the original transaction.) Stupidly, I pointed out her mistake. The supervisor came over, sorted it out and...
Gave me change of a twenty. Still up 10 quid.
I pointed it out again. I got my change from a tenner. Up nothing. My mates were gobsmacked I could have got away with it twice.
But that's me. I'm honest.
