..new Dell computer's!! They were delivered yesterday and they're all still on crates, wrapped in spanky plastic in the conference room. So today, the big boss gave me the go to be the first to crack open the plastic and take my pick of systems. I'm thinking because I'm the loser who had to work this weekend. Perks..

But like, oh.my.GAWD!!! I'm in technology heaven..especially with our whippy server being so cooperative today! This computer with the flat screen monitor is just so sleek and sexy and it's so totally orgasmic to play with, compared to that Commodore (I think that's what it was?) non-Y2K compliant sorry excuse for office equipment in my lifetime..that was still running on Window's 95!! I know..shocking, huh? I didn't think pc's even existed running off of anything less than Windows 2000 and that version was just so full of buggage.

I guess I just wanted to release some of the vibe from this elation of finally getting an office computer that not only performs, but looks as sexy as I do. Yii! I'm kidding, but not really. Gosh..this computer is such a turn on! It just seems like life is a little brighter today because of my new computer. I'm such a geek..

And, what does your hardware do for you? :) I'm going to love coming to work now..

It's really interesting to work for these new investors who have taken controlling interest of the company I work for, just recently. They're like the yuppies of yesteryear who have this stashed nest-egg for retirement and splurg on elaborate executive perks, such as a commercial-size gourmet coffee grinder and brew machine for the breakroom and such..

I was just psyched that I got a spankin' new leather chair when I started here last year, but I'm thinking I might get a company vacation if I stick around long enough, in say..Bermuda..Jamaica...OOohhh, I wanna take ya..

That's all.

They're now packaging ground coffee in plastic tubs.. Better biodegradeable-ness compared to a can, I'm thinking? For the most part, the generic store brands still use the cans. But, their coffee is a bit snarky.

With a Starbucks Doubleshot in the afternoon! :D I just love the teeth clenching jittery, talk a mile-a-minute, giddy gotta gettap giddiapp! go-go-go outta my smooooothe leather chair and say ELLOOOOO!!! kinda realm it instantaneously fly's you too. Hence this thread..hm.

Trouble is, I do have to wake early.
:' (

I like being awake this late, though. Especially when you finally decide to go to bed, and shut everything off, to be met with a consuming, calming silence all around. Lovely.

Late night's and lay-ins are fantastic. It's such a great feeling knowing you can sleep when you want for how long you want without any worry of having to wake early.
Strange how people are at their most energetic at night, though. The mind seems to come alive and great ideas are born. I blame it on the moon..

Nono, you're fine, I see that.
*backs away slowly*

I don't drink that much caffine, but I'm my most awake about now.
Suppose that's just normal, but I can't get to sleep in under and hour, and won't wake up properly until the afternoon. Doesn't sound too healthy.

Ah well, late night rule all.

That's not bad!
Usually anywhere between 1-3am. But that's not the coffee, it's hyperactivity. But that's not caused by the coffee either. It's not the coffee, you can't blame the coffee. *glares* Stay away from my coffee. :p

And what's so wrong with getting excited over a new chair? I got excited over a new desk.. But a computer now! I suppose it's easy to get excited over new things in the office when you've been working with and seeing the same boring, old stuff for a while.

It's like that Mountain Dew just disappeared!

Meh, I have to pay 20p for coffees at work. They won't allow people to use the free machine, which incidentally tastes way better than the 20p machine and I have about 6 or 7 coffees a day depending on how busy we are..
And a kettle just takes too long.

The most exciting thing I can do with my computer at work is make it make 2 different beeping sounds. Then turn the volume up and play a little tune. It's, like, the best thing ever.

But then I work in a supermarket, so shouldn't really be expecting much.

You wrote, AND edited that post at exactly 13:37.

You legend.

I love it at work (Waitrose) when someone's shopping costs £13.37...if they need change, I always give them a nice, new, crisp note.

It also means I only have 23 minutes left on my shift.
