You know when you upload say audio to your web space. Anyone can download them if they type in yourdomain.com/file.mp3. Is there a way of stopping this? I've only know of one way to web protect a file and that was a feature of a single host.

Any help would be great :)

Yes, quite right. Thought it looked wrong, I think too much CounterStrike has fried my brain. I pressed 'y' to type a message in MSN the other day...

Do you mean .htaccess?

Also, check your host uses Apache before exploring this route - otherwise it's pointless!

Look up .htdocs access, you can allow or deny access using that, and it's a universal server protocol thingy.
