My telephone don't work :o(

I lift up the reciever and it's just silent. The bill has been paid and everything.

Does anyone know what could be wrong and/or who I contact to fix it.

The engineer who fixed mine said that broadband can still work even if there's a problem on the line. He gave an explanation which, to be honest, made me go cross eyed, so I just nodded.

Both phones don't work. My housemate thinks that maybe a cable is damaged since our landlord was doing some work the other day, but the internet still works and I assume since phone and 'net are from ntl, they go through the same cable.

You read the board and started praying for it to, huh?

Sometimes, I wonder if I'd be a happier drone if I'd never even heard of Bill Hicks...

Anyway, I had the same problem last week; check the other sockets around the house. If the wiring to 'em is damaged, it'll knack the line to your house.

Plug the phone cable into the socket.

Good timing, I'm having a similar problem.

I don't know how to fix it, but if you work it out let me know.
